I am so thankful for Thanksgiving eve!! Our apartment smells like delicious cookies and wonderful Christmas music fills the air! We’re preparing our appetizers and desserts for tomorrow. We just bought beautiful Christmas ornaments (using a coupon, of course!), and we have our first stockings that I just put our names on. I am thankful for puppies!! Specifically black labs :-) I’m thankful for their cute little faces, floppy ears, and paws too big for their bodies :-)

I am thankful for a hubby who takes care of me when I’m not feeling well.
I’m thankful for being the nanny of a 3 year old who proceeds to tell me today that she is thankful that God takes care of us because he loves us so much. Its amazing how kids can just state simple sentences that open up your eyes.
Well…sometimes I just fail. I really try to do my best and then somehow I screw everything up and it all falls apart. And sometimes I just feel sad.
But it’s like feeling sad at times isn’t okay with anyone because I’m supposed to be happy go lucky and optimistic all the time. I wish people understood that it’s impossible to be happy and positive 100% of the time. I...

I am thankful that last night Phillip and I prepared tonight’s dinner together, and that tonight for our date night we got to enjoy our dinner together. I am thankful that we are now able to relax together on the couch in comfy PJ’s :)

Now I should have taken a picture of our dinner tonight, but I forgot to before we ate it. So I will just share the recipe instead. I have to warn you, however, I did not measure anything.
I took ground turkey that needed to be used and put salt and pepper on it for taste. Then I rolled them into little balls and stuck them in the oven at 350. Then I took an onion and a bell pepper and chopped...

I am thankful for friends. I am thankful for friendships I have made that have lasted through the years, friendships that made an impacton my life in the moment but have now faded, and new friendships that are shaping who I am now. I am thankful for my mom. I’m thankful she raised us with good morals in a Christian home. I’m thankful she prayed with us at night and took us to church and youth grounp and never said no to going to get friends (as many as would fit in the expedition) to take them to church to. Chicken Stroganoff
So today I made a delicious meal for my hubby. It was my first meal using a crock pot. I wanted to share my recipe! I found it on allrecipes.com…but I adapted it. Enjoy!
3 chicken breasts
0.7 oz package dry Italian dressing mix (I used half)
1/8 cup butter (I used white wine instead cause I didn’t want to use butter…and I used 1/2 cup)
1/4 cup sliced mushrooms
